1943 BEECHCRAFT D-17S STAGGERWING
In 1943, the US Army received 13 UC-43 airplanes with the powerful 450hp R-985-17 engine. N79484 was among them and went into service July 21st, 1943 as 43-10869. In 1963, the airplane received its civil registration.
During 2000, Michael J. Gimes from Lancaster, CA completed an in-depth and comprehensive restoration of the aircraft. Since 2016, the airplane has been maintained and cared for by the current owner. The Staggerwing is kept in a hangar in Tennessee with a professional mechanic, specializing in antique airplane maintenance taking care of it.

The Staggerwing is based at M91 and available for Inspection by appointment.
