Redefining Classics: The 1950 GRUMMAN G-73 MALLARD Takes Wing Again
Aircraft underwent a complete restoration by Victoria Air Maintenance, BC, Canada between 2006-2010.
Aircraft completely disassembled for full refurbishment of structure members, alclad skins, fabric coverings, wiring, electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, fire suppression, plumbing and hoses, complete corrosion removal and re-painting of complete aircraft. Numerous STCs applied, electrical and avionics upgrades and modifications applied. Structural modifications and an LSTC applied. Modification reports and 337 forms completed to reflect current configuration. Both engines overhauled, both propellers overhauled. All remaining components were repaired, overhauled or replaced with new or serviceable units as deemed necessary.
Wing center section corrosion. Wing center Section is a complete new build including all new fuel bladders. C/W by AMOC approval #AARDG 2008/A42. Refer to ICA 2yr or 500hr requiring inspections and 5300hr O/H life.
Aircraft deregistered from ND C-GGMZ and re-registered in the USA as N54GZ.
