Here's an opportunity to own a very rare airplane: a 1966 Meyers 200D. Originally designed to race Bonanzas and win, these high-performance singles have a passionate following. This particular plane, built by Aero-Commander, was successfully raced in England in the 1980's. It's been in the USA since that time though, based in the dry climate of northern Arizona. The one-of-a-kind dragon-illustrated paint scheme was repainted five years ago along with work on the interior. This unique plane was featured as a cover story in the 1992 issue of the UK magazine "Flyer" (with the previous dragon paint). A copy of this article is available. For those of you unfamiliar with the Meyers 200, here is some additional information: Only 133 Meyers 200's were built in the 1960s, first by Meyers Aircraft and later Aero-Commander. They're known for their strength and their speed. The fuselage is a steel frame covered in aluminum. There has never been an airworthiness directive on the Meyers 200 airframe. Typical cruise is 183 knots (210mph). Thanks to a dedicated group of owners and fans, parts and information are readily available.
