Off a 1800 ttsn Stinson Voyager with the original Bodell wheels/brakes + new overhaul parts. As a school, the plane needed same brakes as rest (Clevelands) We have probably made a mistake historically and in terms of originality, but we have removed the Bodells. They are in very good condition and working when removed. Of course they are used (1947!) but this entire plane has been pampered its whole life, so these wheels and brakes are good. Restoring to original? These are what you need!

Used, worked fine when removed. These would be good for someone trying to go back to original on their classic plane (they were not only on Stinson's). There are those who swear by Bodells - they are a totally different design than the traditional Clevelands or McCauleys. They are reported to go for 1000 hours before they need overhaul, are smoother (the entire disk applies breaking pressure) and there is nothing to rust since it is all internal. We are only selling these because we have converted all the school planes to one brand, so this is to ease parts inventory on our end and speed up maintenance. This sale includes a box of unused new replacement parts for the brakes.
