Specifications
This North American P-51D Mustang is being restored as a full dual control TF-51 Mustang by legendary restorer Tom Reilly. Reilly’s most recent restoration is the award wining North American XP-82 Twin Mustang.- The Wings are currently being built by Odegaard Wings.
- Upon completion the fuselage and wings will be delivered to Tom Reilly Vintage Aircraft Inc. where the rest of the aircraft is currently under restoration.
- The engine will be overhauled by either Vintage V-12’s or Roush Aviation – customers preference.
- The restoration is expected to be completed within 36 months. The aircraft will be completed, test flown and licensed in the Limited Category. Customer to choose final specifications and paint / polish.
- The payment structure will consist of a sizable down payment which will secure the project. The balance of the purchase price will be payable in quarterly payments billed against the restoration contract.
- All parts for the project have been acquired by the restorer over the past 20 years. Many are New Old Stock.
- The restoration will be completed to original specifications and to the same quality as the Tom Reilly Vintage Aircraft restored XP-82 Twin Mustang which won the 2019 Grand Champion Warbird awards and two Golden Wrench Awards at Sun N’ Fun 2019 and EAA Airventure (Oshkosh 2019).
